How do I download a GPX file?

1. If you don’t already have an app on your smartphone that can read GPX files, there are several free options available in your app store. One simple and free app is GPX Viewer. Download the app to your phone.

2. Download one of the GPX files available on each stage page. A new tab will open – click “Download”.

3. Once the file has been downloaded, you will be asked which app should open it. Choose your navigation app (e.g. GPX Viewer). The app will not give you turn-by-turn directions, but it will show your position on the map and the route of the trail.

4. The GPX file is now saved on your smartphone as an alternative route that you can start whenever you are ready for your cycling trip.
